Meet the team

Benn has spent twenty years in the wind industry, amassing extensive experience in all areas relating to rotor blades. His expertise ranges from production business planning, start-ups, and process development to technical support and project management of after-sales issues. Benn developed his career within several wind turbine manufacturing organisations, including establishing Repower’s Rotor Blade Production department, before starting his own business to provide technical and practical services to the industry.

Matt joined the company in 2019 having graduated from the University of Bristol with a Masters Degree in Aerospace Engineering. Starting as an engineer, and then moving to instructing, Matt is now the Training Manager and won the Global Wind Organisation Young Achiever of the Year Award in 2022.

Mick joined Safer at Work in 2023 after transitioning into the wind industry. Mick has since carried out a number of on site projects, including the planning and delivery of live rescue drills, and is now the Senior Instructor at our Gateshead training centre.

Ryan has worked for our sister company Renewable Field Services as a blade repair technician since 2022, with experience on a range of complex repairs. Ryan is now our lead Blade Repair instructor, splitting his time between continuing with repairs on site and training the next generation of blade repair technicians.

Jane is our friendly Customer Care Agent, and is normally the first person you will speak to when you book your course or come into our centre. Jane joined Safer at Work in 2024 and has quickly made the role her own, and is responsible for any customer enquiries and bookings.

With over 17 years of experience in business development for the wind power and renewables sector, Heather identifies and secures new clients by building strategic relationships and winning accounts across both onshore and offshore markets.
