GWO Blade Repair gives participants the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform minor blade repairs under supervision of a more experienced technician, while working in a way that keeps themselves and others safe. ​​ ​The aim of this course is to enable participants to perform and document blade repair tasks and execute work in accordance with work instructions. This is an entry level course designed to allow participants to work on basic repairs while gaining on the job experience, and therefore doesn’t enable participants to perform repairs on major structural blade components such as spar caps or carbon fibre.

• You must be 18 or over to undertake this course • Participants must have a WINDA ID (to obtain a WINDA ID, participants can register for free here)(https://winda.globalwindsafety.org/register/) • You must complete a medical self-declaration before undertaking the training (this will be sent to you after you have booked) • You must be able to speak English to a reasonable level for course material comprehension and safety purposes • You must have an accepted form of photographic ID. We accept the following forms of ID: • Passport • Driving license • A PASS card (National Proof of Age Standards Scheme) • A Blue Badge • A biometric residence permit (BRP) • A Defence Identity Card (MOD form 90) • A HM Armed Forces Veteran Card (MOD form 100) • A national identity card issued by an EU country, Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein

• Participants will be assessed via two written tests conducted under exam conditions and their practical performance during assessment scenarios • This course is certified by the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) • All participants will receive an electronic certificate uploaded to WINDA (https://winda.globalwindsafety.org/) • Certificates are valid for 100 years (effective no expiry date)

• All PPE required for the course will be provided, except for safety footwear • We do provide basic gloves, however if you would prefer to bring your own then please feel free to do so • Lunch is provided on most of our courses (the exception being if you are doing a course which begins later in the afternoon) • Unfortunately, we may be unable to cater for gluten and dairy-free, and certain allergies due to our suppliers • If you do have an allergy or food intolerance, please get in touch with us to discuss this before your course date
