Course Overview
The GWO First Aid course is designed to refresh the participants knowledge, skills, and abilities to recognise signs and symptoms of life-threatening conditions in a wind turbine environment. Participants will be able to safely and effectively provide lifesaving and other first aid to save lives and prevent further injury until medical assistance arrives.
Who Is The Course For?

The role of the first aider

The primary survey and lifesaving first aid, including:

Dealing with dangers​

Understanding levels of response and treating unconscious casualties

Catastrophic bleeding
-
Choking
-
CPR and the use of AEDs
-
The recovery position
-
Shock
-

The head-to-toe examination​ and taking notes

Safety boots or shoes

Pre-requisites:

Participants must be in a good state of physical fitness (participants will be required to fill in a medical self-declaration)

Participants must have a WINDA ID (to obtain a WINDA ID, participants can register here)

Participants must hold a GWO First Aid certificate that is in date on the day of the course
