Course Overview
The GWO First Aid course is designed to give participants the knowledge, skills, and abilities to recognise signs and symptoms of life-threatening conditions in a wind turbine environment. Participants will be able to safely and effectively provide lifesaving and other first aid to save lives and prevent further injury until medical assistance arrives.
Who Is The Course For?

The primary survey and lifesaving first aid, including:

Dealing with dangers​

Understanding levels of response and treating unconscious casualties

Catastrophic bleeding

Choking
-
CPR and the use of AEDs

The recovery position

Shock

Relevant first aid incidents to the wind industry, including:

Burns
-
Chemical Contacts to the Eye

Heart Attack
-
Stroke
-
Hypothermia

Fractures

Participants must be in a good state of physical fitness (participants will be required to fill in a medical self-declaration)
