Winchester, United Kingdom, 12th October 2022:
Safer at Work are delighted to announce that our Training Manager Matt Thompson has won the Young Achiever for the Year Award at the Global Wind Organisation Forum and Training Awards.
Matt and Safer at Work Managing Director Benn Faulkner attended the event in Copenhagen alongside other industry leaders, manufacturers, and instructors.
During the day, a talk was held discussing the new entry-level technician framework released by GWO, alongside some networking events, and the awards show itself.
“I am over the moon to have won this award. Our goal at Safer at Work is to make workplaces, particularly high-risk ones like those in the wind industry, safer to work in. With the challenges we’ve all faced over the last few years, it’s been important to make the delivery of our courses more agile and accessible, which is why investing in our mobile training facility and AR and VR capabilities has been so important. I’m delighted that our work has been recognised, but I’m eager to keep developing our training, and build on the success of our brand-new facility in Gateshead.” – Matt Thompson
